On March 27, 2022, Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Local Congregation of Heathrow North, Ecclesiastical District of United Kingdom held a Neighborhood Appreciation activity. It was held at the function hall of their place of worship situated at St. Peter’s Way High Street, Harlington, Hayes, London, England.
Days leading to the event, the brethren handed out invitation cards to the people in the neighborhood of their congregation’s place of worship. On the day of the activity, Brother Gerry Aliermo, resident minister, led the Church members in welcoming their neighbors. He first introduced to them the Church Of Christ by presenting its previous and recent INC Giving projects, among other endeavors. A photo gallery was also prepared for the activity showing the guests the houses of worship of the Church Of Christ in UK. While refreshments were being served, the KADIWA and Binhi members treated the guests to musical performances.
“I’d probably want to get to know the Church a lot more and people in it. I really appreciated what they do, and what they actually have [done] for the community. Everyone was very friendly; I was so welcomed. I didn’t feel like an outsider at all, which was very nice. Hopefully there’s more I’d be invited to,” enthused Riza Lemi, a guest.
The activity not only gave the brethren a chance to mingle with the people in the neighborhood. Andrea Basilio, Church member, said it “edified me in the faith, inspiring me as I continue serving the Lord God.” — With reports from INC News Section
