Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Local Congregation of Majayjay in the Ecclesiastical District of Sta. Cruz, Laguna, Philippines, rejoiced over the establishment of its Banga Group Worship Service (GWS) on June 24, 2026. Its inaugural worship service was held at the residence of Kleo Marielle SP. Japsay, local finance officer, which is also the GWS’s place of worship.

Brother Israeli F. Gatchalian, the district supervising minister, officiated at the sacred gathering. He was accompanied by Brother Mico B. Magadia, district edification overseer, and Brother Leo DV. Ferrer, district Light of Salvation overseer.

During the homily, the brethren were reminded to hold on firmly to their God-given election amid their evil surroundings, so as to remain assured of being saved on Judgment Day.

“We are so glad that the Church Administration approved the establishment of Banga GWS,” expressed Ivan G. Villareal, head deacon. “Church members here will no longer have to travel far to attend worship services, especially during this time of changing weather conditions,” he added.

Indeed, the establishment of this GWS brings much more convenience to the brethren in performing their duties. Previously, they had to travel more than seven kilometers to reach Majayjay Congregation’s house of worship.

“This is our way of showing our commitment to serving God—lending a portion of our residence to be Banga GWS’s place of worship,” enthused Japsay, on behalf of her household.

On behalf of the brethren, Brother Arthur A. Mendoza, resident minister, promised, saying, “We will uphold our zealous service of God, especially now that we have been blessed with an additional place of worship. All glory be unto Him.”
