The Ecclesiastical District of New Zealand South leadership led the inauguration of the Rolleston Group Worship Service (GWS) on June 19, 2026, which was held at the Rolleston Community Centre, Christchurch, New Zealand.

This coincided with the Church-wide videostreaming of the special worship service at which the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, officiated in the house of worship of the Village East Congregation, Rizal Ecclesiastical District, in the Philippines.

The members of the Rolleston GWS were thus blessed to hear the preaching of God’s words from the Executive Minister himself.

In his homily, Brother Eduardo Manalo emphasized the great importance of remaining steadfast in the faith and unwavering in service to God despite trials and challenges of everyday life.

As part of the holy occasion, district supervising minister, Brother Uziel B. Bongares, administered the oath-taking of newly appointed Church officers tasked with overseeing the new GWS.

“This new GWS is a clear manifestation of God’s love and guidance,” Brother Bongares stated in an interview. “It shows the Church Administration’s unwavering commitment to bringing worship services closer to the brethren, ensuring that their spiritual needs are cared for wherever they may be.”

GWS overseer, Rex Calidro, likewise expressed his deep gratitude. “The brethren held intensive devotional prayers prior to the inauguration,” he remarked. “Having a place of worship brings immense joy to the brethren and inspires them to pass down a legacy of complete trust in God to the next generations.”

Church members in the new GWS used to attend worship services with the Local Congregation of Halswell, some of whose members also attended the inaugural worship service.

“Before, the brethren used to travel for 30 minutes or sometimes even longer across four changing seasons just to reach Halswell to worship. Now, they are just five minutes away from the place of worship. All praises to God,” shared Brother Bunny Jyn Raagas, district Christian Family Organizations overseer.
