On June 20, 2026, local congregation secretaries in the Ecclesiastical District of Texas convened in the house of worship of the Humble Congregation for a special gathering. Included among the attendees were their family members, as well as head deacons overseeing the secretariat in every local congregation, and local congregation chroniclers.
“All secretaries have a delicate and sacred obligation to uphold the accuracy and integrity of the records of the Church,” said Brother Neil Alexander C. Trinidad, district secretary.
The holy gathering was officiated at by Brother Noel C. Caritativo, district supervising minister. During his biblical homily, he reminded the attendees how those whom God has given spiritual gifts must value their duties—they must perform out of love to the best of their abilities. When they do so, their sacrifices will not be in vain.
Brother Teodorico S. Samson Jr., assistant district supervising minister, administered the oath-taking of select brethren who were entrusted with functions in the secretariat department after the preaching of the lesson.
“In the performance of my duty, there will come challenges and trials. But I am confident that our Almighty God will continue to guide me through these, so I can continue fulfilling my duty,” said Marissa Wong, head secretary of the Corpus Christi Congregation.
After the gathering, the attendees enjoyed a short get-together program before they traveled back to their respective local congregations.
Speaking on behalf of the Secretariat department of the Texas District, Brother Trinidad conveyed, “We will wholeheartedly fulfill our duties. Likewise, we will always be honest and meticulously accurate with our reporting, in order to fulfill the aim and mission of the Church Administration to prepare the Church for our coming salvation.”
