Members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) from various local congregations located in Samal Island, all under the Ecclesiastical District of Davao City, Philippines, jointly helped invite guests to an evangelical mission on March 30, 2026.
The Local Congregation of Camudmud was the venue of the said evangelistic activity. Other local congregations that brought guests therein were Babak, Caliclic, Crossing Mambago, Del Monte, Kana-an, Kaputian, Libertad, Licup, Mansud, Peñaplata, San Isidro, Sto. Niño, and Toril–Babak.
Brother Gener Carlo Sumakote, minister of the gospel, led the study of God’s words written in the Bible. During his preaching, he emphasized to the guests the true nature of the one true God—the Almighty Father in heaven—and its starking contrast with that of the Lord Jesus Christ.
“While listening to the preaching, I noticed that the Bible the minister used is the same Bible that we use in my religion,” said guest Lourdes Jacquelin Baac, a Catholic.
Another guest, Harrelson Trishtan Tubadeza, said, “I learned how important it is to properly recognize the Almighty Father as the one true God. It’s a truth everyone ought to know and uphold, as well as worship of Him.”
Brother Ryan Anthony Lito, resident ministerial worker of the Camudmud Congregation, enthused, “With God’s mercy, many people had the opportunity to listen to His words. Indeed, this activity has been a success.” — With assistance from Mayby-Lynn Tarroja
