The Local Congregation of San Pedro in the Ecclesiastical District of Sta. Rosa City, Laguna, Philippines, held back-to-back propagational activities. On October 18, the brethren distributed to their fellow San Pedrenses copies of the Pasugo: God’s Message magazine, in which included the invitation for them to attend the evangelical mission on the next day.
Pasugo Distribution Drive
Led by the district supervising minister, Brother Eric B. Zaratan, with his fellow ministers composing the district leadership, the brethren gathered first at their house of worship to receive their area designations and conduct a prayer.
Afterwards, they proceeded to distribute Pasugo magazines to residents of barangays such as Poblacion, Sto. Niño, Cuyab, San Vicente, Landayan, and San Antonio.
“It fills me with joy whenever I can share my faith as I know that this makes the Almighty Father happy as well,” expressed Rolando Bocalan, local Light of Salvation overseer.
Nearly 600 copies of the said magazine were distributed. Recipients were invited to attend the evangelical mission that would be conducted the following day.
“Thank you for this magazine,” expressed one of the recipients, Emilia Casolino. She added, “This will help me learn about the Church Of Christ and [the] beliefs [herein].”
Evangelical Mission
On October 19, many of those who received and invited via the Pasugo magazines attended the evangelical mission held at the San Pedro Congregation’s house of worship, along with the brethren’s close friends, relatives, and other loved ones who are not yet Church members.
Brother Darwin Joson, district safety overseer, officiated the evangelistic event. Through biblical teachings, he introduced the Church Of Christ to the guests and underscored its value for one’s salvation.
“I was amazed by how clear the preaching was,” enthused Roda Gilbuena who was among the nearly 300 guests who attended.
When asked about his preparation for the evangelical mission, Alvin Embate, area overseer, shared, “I prayed to God to introduce me to my invitees. Upon meeting them, I would remind them on days leading to the actual day of activity. I’m glad that they came.”
In a separate interview, Ruby Hemedez, a deaconess, narrated that she “asked God for knowledge and ability in persuading people from various walks of life, that they may be comfortable with our company as we share our faith with them.”
“We thank the Almighty Father for, through the guidance of the Church Administration, we were able to conduct these propagational activities which bore great results,” expressed Brother Apolinario B. Apiado Jr., resident ministerial worker. “We will keep our zeal in assisting with this endeavor and all the other Church projects to be pleasing to God and remain firm in the faith,” he added. — With assistance from Kenneth Fernando and Marissa Alcoba
