A series of baptisms were held in the islands of Big Island (May 18, 2026), Maui (May 22), Kauai and American Samoa (May 23), and Oahu (May 29) in the Ecclesiastical District of Hawaii-Pacific.
It was part of their commemorating the 140th birth anniversary of Brother Felix Y. Manalo, whom members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) firmly believe to be God’s Messenger in these last days.
Brother Gem Baitan, district supervising minister, officiated at the baptismal gatherings in the local congregations of Ewa Beach (Oahu) and Wailuku (Maui).
Brother Adorado Apostol, assistant district supervising minister, led at those held in Keaau (Big Island) and Kalaheo (Kauai). The American Samoa Congregation was connected through livestreaming to Kalaheo.
During their Bible-based homily, the officiating ministers emphasized to the would-be members that receiving the true baptism in the true Church and remaining its active members till the end will lead to attaining the promised salvation on Judgment Day.
After the study of God’s words, the candidates for baptism took their oath of membership. Then, they proceeded to the baptismal site. The baptism was administered by various ministers assigned on each island.
Brother Raoul Adalla, district chronicler and resident minister of the Waipahu Congregation, expressed that the newly baptized brethren “now have the right to serve God, the right to call on the Lord in times of hardship, and be saved on Judgment Day.”
After the baptismal gatherings, “Welcome, My Brethren” activities were conducted on each island. Church officers warmly welcomed the newly baptized brethren to their respective Christian Family Organizations. They were also encouraged to participate in the upcoming activities of their local congregations, which included the sharing of the true faith.
“It truly brings us great joy whenever we are able to fulfill the commandments of our Almighty God and our Lord Jesus Christ in bearing abundant fruit,” said Brother Brian Aniciete, resident minister of American Samoa Congregation. “We continue to share our faith so more people may have the chance to receive salvation when our Lord Jesus Christ returns.”
“Our hope for those who were recently baptized is just like what the Church Administration teaches us: continue growing in their faith. Doing so, the more they will experience God’s mercy, His graces outpoured in their lives, and all the more they will be able to run their race until its completion to receive salvation on Judgment Day,” Brother Adalla added.
