A series of seminars on stress management for Church officers from local congregations in the Ecclesiastical District of Capas, Tarlac, Philippines has been successfully launched and ongoing strongly.

The seminar series, which focused on the proper handling of various situations that pose as stressors, kicked off on January 19, 2026 at the house of worship of the Alfonso Local Congregation.

“The series of seminars aims to raise awareness about stress and help break the stigma surrounding it,” said Brother Rolan Daquigan, district counseling officer, who led the activity. “Through this seminar, may the Church officers feel the love and concern of the Church Administration, especially as they also face hardships in life,” he added.

The most recent sessions were conducted on May 5 and 11 at the local congregations of Mapaco and Dungan, respectively. The district-wide seminar series is set to run until July 2026.

Through the seminar, Cesar Augusto, head deacon of the Mapaco Congregation, realized that stress could also have a positive effect if dealt with correctly. “It depends on how you perceive stressful events in life. I learned that I can turn them into lessons and opportunities to become closer to God by entrusting everything to Him,” he said.

“As Church officers lead the brethren under their care, the seminar is very important because it also helps them become more efficient in handling various situations, even stressful ones,” explained Brother Daquigan.

Dungan Congregation resident ministerial worker Brother Kevin Carpio said, “I made sure that the Church officers attended the activity because the seminar would greatly benefit them, especially in the performance of their God-given duties.”

Brother Lexer Malonzo, resident minister of the Mapaco Congregation, expressed gratitude to God for the opportunity to benefit from such an insightful seminar launched by the Church Administration. On behalf of the brethren, Brother Malonzo stated, “I thank Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, the Executive Minister, and Brother Angelo Eraño V. Manalo, the Deputy Executive Minister, for their continuous care for our spiritual needs.”
