With God’s help, the efforts of the brethren in the Local Congregation of Haifa, Israel, in sharing the true faith continue to bear fruit. As such, on August 25, 2026, a baptism was held.

District supervising minister, Brother Herbert C. Taguines, officiated at the baptismal gathering held at the congregation’s place of worship. In his Bible-based sermon, he reminded the baptismal candidates that baptism is a commandment of our Lord Jesus Christ. He also emphasized the importance of remaining steadfast in the faith until the end to ensure their salvation on Judgment Day.

After the sermon, Brother Christian Celestino, district Christian Family Organizations overseer, led the baptismal candidates’ taking oath of membership. After the gathering, the baptismal candidates and the brethren traveled east to Yardenit, in Kibbutz Kinneret, and there, in the Jordan River, the baptism was held.

“I joined the Church Of Christ because I firmly believed that this is the true Church. Despite persecutions and armed conflicts, I was able to stand firm in my decision to join the Church because of the help and guidance of our Almighty God,” said Olive Malaque, a newly baptized member from Haifa Congregation. “I am overflowing with happiness that I am  now a full-fledged member of the Church. I promise to our Lord God that I will always serve Him and obey all His commandments to attain His promised salvation,” she added.

“This event is God’s blessing to the Church. Here in Israel, the number of the brethren continues to increase. By God’s love and mercy, the brethren remain united with the Church Administration in the intensive works of propagating the words of God,” said Brother Taguines.
