Formerly a group worship service of the Moncton Congregation, New Brunswick, in the Ecclesiastical District of Quebec and Atlantic, Canada, with the approval of the Church Administration, Summerside, Prince Edward Island is now a full-fledged local congregation.

Its inaugural worship service was held on August 9, 2026 at the Loyalist Country Inn and Conference Centre, Heather Moyse Drive, Summerside, Prince Edward Island. It will also serve as the venue of the succeeding worship gatherings.

District supervising minister, Brother Moriel D. Cadacio, officiated the worship service, during which he pointed out a timely reminder to members of the Church Of Christ as the Day of Judgment gets ever closer: they ought to carefully obey God’s His will no matter the situation they are in. By doing so, they can prove that their trust and confidence is truly in God.  He went on to exhort the brethren to entrust their lives to God by means of prayers.

During the holy gathering, new Church officers took their oath of duties. It was administered by assistant district supervising minister, Brother Aeron Paul M. Mañabo.

“We are thankful, most of all, to our Almighty God, to our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the Church Administration. This is truly a great blessing most importantly, for the brethren here in Summerside. God helped the Church’s works here to flourish,” Brother Cadacio said in an interview afterwards.

“Adverse weather conditions are often a challenge for us. Amid all these, I thank God for seeing us through. I will never stop in obeying Him,” said pioneer member in Summerside, Enrique Esplana.

“My conviction is to help the Church Administration in overseeing the ones under my care. I will fulfill this duty that God has entrusted me with all my heart. I will faithfully obey, and I will always follow the Church Administration,” said newly-sworn head deacon, Frederick Sobrenilla. — With assistance from Frank Glenn Bunag
