The Ecclesiastical District of Taiwan South held the INC Unity Games for this year on October 9, 2026.

The grounds of Dou-Nan Senior High School along Zhongshan Road in Yunlin County, Taiwan, were filled with participants and spectators as the sporting event opened with a parade of athletes wearing their respective color-coded uniforms. Afterwards, Brother Alex Carmesis, assistant district secretary, led the opening prayer.

The oath of sportsmanship was then administered by Jayson Flores, Buklod president of the Kaohsiung City Congregation. Through the oath, the participants affirmed their commitment to upholding fairness, discipline, and respect throughout the friendly competition.

Then, competitions in basketball, men’s and women’s volleyball, men’s and women’s badminton, darts, chess, and track and field got underway simultaneously.

“We can clearly see the enthusiasm of the brethren and the unity they demonstrate. Through this activity greater unity is fostered within our district,” affirmed, Brother Mayonel Taal, district supervising minister.

Volleyball player and deaconess from Xinshi Congregation, Meralyn Ramirez, shared her enthusiasm for the activity, saying, “Through activities like this, I was able to interact with brethren from different local congregations in our district. It’s truly joyful to participate in such activities, as they strengthen the bonds among the brethren and foster unity, with brotherly love always prevailing.”

Jerome Silvano, a basketball player and doctrinal instructee from the Tainan City Congregation, said, “I admire the unity among the brethren. What I witnessed has strengthened my resolve and inspired me to persevere in serving God within the Church Of Christ.”

The Qianzhen Congregation emerged as the overall champion, winning in the majority of the competitions. Despite the intense matches, brotherhood and unity among the participants were further strengthened throughout the sporting event and were evident during the awarding ceremony held later that day.

Brother Sixto Gansit Jr., assistant district supervising minister, observed, “The brethren’s eagerness to attend and participate in this activity was evident. We are therefore grateful to the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, and the Deputy Executive Minister, Brother Angelo Eraño V. Manalo, for this activity.” — With reports from Jake Torio and District multimedia
