As their way of commemorating the 112th anniversary of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ), the Ecclesiastical District of New Zealand South conducted a district-wide evangelical mission the day before.
On July 26, 2026, Brother Uziel Bongares, district supervising minister, officiated at the evangelical mission hosted from the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Christchurch. It was livestreamed to all other local congregations and group worship services (GWS) throughout the district.
Through a Bible-based lesson, he emphasized that it is the will of God for people to know the truth, including entering and remaining inside the true Church to receive salvation on Judgment Day.
Kenneth Bryan Todoc, a guest, said, “The teachings were clearly explained and firmly based on the Bible. They helped me better understand God’s words, and I look forward to learning more about the teachings upheld in the Iglesia Ni Cristo.”
“The lesson reminded me that the world is nearing its end and that our Lord Jesus Christ will come back very soon,” shared choir member, Edison De Juan of Halswell Congregation. “That is why I continue sharing my faith with my relatives and friends by sending them links of religious articles published on the Church’s official websites, iglesianicristo.net and pasugo.com.ph, as well as its official social media platforms and CEBSI programs. I pray that they, too, like many people, come to believe in the words of God.”
“To commemorate 112 years of God’s faithfulness, we chose not simply to look back with gratitude but to move forward with greater zeal in fulfilling His will. Through this evangelical mission, more people were given the opportunity to hear God’s words—the truth that leads to salvation.” Brother Bongares said.
