A total of 94 new converts received baptism into the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) in the Ecclesiastical District of Albay in the month of June alone.
Their baptism took place at the baptistery within the house of worship compound of the Local Congregation of Legazpi City, Albay, Philippines on June 27, 2026.
Prior to their immersion into water as the Bible prescribes, the would-be members gathered in the said house of worship for further instruction in Bible teachings.
Brother Barry Javier, assistant district supervising minister, officiated at the holy gathering. During his Bible-based sermon, he emphasized to the baptismal candidates the importance of serving the Almighty God inside the Church Of Christ until the end in order to receive salvation on the Day of Judgment.
Following the homily, Brother Noel Plaza, district edification overseer, administered the baptismal candidates’ oath of membership.
Among those newly baptized was Gina Novela from the Local Congregation of Camalig. “I faced many persecutions as I sought to become a member of the Church Of Christ. Yet, with the help of the Lord God, I overcame them all, and now I’ve become a member of the Church Of Christ,” she shared.
“I’m happy because I’m now a member of the Church Of Christ. I can now truly render worship that is pleasing to our Lord God,” enthused Apolinar Bersabe from the Local Congregation of Polangui.
More baptisms have been scheduled by the district leadership for the coming months.
