The Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Local Congregation of Kumalarang, Ecclesiastical District of Buug, Zamboanga del Sur, Philippines, rejoiced with gratefulness to the Lord God over their newly-renovated house of worship dedicated to Him on May 22, 2026.

Brother Jose D.P. Salvador Jr., district supervising minister, officiated at the special gathering. In his preaching of God’s words, he underscored that amidst the worsening condition of the world, the brethren can seek God’s help and deliverance in the house of worship as He promised that there He would hear the prayers of His servants. He exhorted them thus to continue worshiping the Lord God as well caring for their house of worship which bring greater delight to Him.

The revamped house of worship is located in Alindahaw, Barangay Poblacion, Kumalarang, Zamboanga del Sur, some 23 kilometers from the district office. It features modern amenities, including LED televisions, an LED wall, a generator set, a CCTV system, and a Johannus organ. It also comes with a new pastoral house and office spaces.

Sannelito Lauron, head deacon, said, “I will forever be grateful to the Lord God for blessing us with a newly-renovated house of worship. The brethren have been longing for this, so that we can continue on giving glory and honor to God in a more fitting worship building.”

“Given the current situation of the world and even in our country, this house of worship is truly an inspiration and a source of hope for me, as inside the house of worship I can feel God’s abiding presence in my life. I promise to devote myself completely to serving the Lord God and remain steadfast in the faith no matter what happens,” expressed Ruel Villanueva, leader of the choir.

“We express our heartfelt gratitude to the Lord God for answering our prayers, through His Church Administration,” stated resident ministerial worker Brother Rainier A. Cariño on behalf of the congregation. “We promise to Him that, despite the prevalence of poverty in the world, we will never stop worshiping and serving Him, as through this we can give glory and honor to Him and … receive salvation on Judgment Day.”— With reports from Joey Talas
