With the approval of the Church Administration, the Ecclesiastical District of Northern Plains inaugurated the Topeka, Kansas Group Worship Service (GWS) through a worship service held on May 23, 2026 at 3301 SW Van Buren St., Topeka, Kansas.

Brother Elmer J. Parungao, district supervising minister, officiated at the worship service. In his Bible-based homily, he emphasized that even though sufferings in life nowadays worsen, true servants of God should all the more be faithful to Him by upholding obedience to all of His commandments at all times.

After the homily, pioneering set of Church officers in the new GWS took their oath of respective duties.

“We are very happy and thankful because we are now closer to the place of worship,” expressed deacon, Kid Harrold Macapilit. “We will use this opportunity to invite our friends and workmates to this place of worship to listen to the teachings upheld by the Iglesia Ni Cristo,” he added.

“With the establishment of this GWS, brethren in this part of Kansas are now closer to the place of worship and will be further inspired to dedicate themselves in worshiping and praising the Almighty God,” Brother Parungao said.

Topeka is the 12th GWS established under the care of the Ecclesiastical District of Northern Plains.
