Together with their families, brethren from the local congregations of Luzon Avenue and Veterans Village 1 in the Ecclesiastical District of Central, Philippines, participated in the Christian Family Organizations (CFO) monthly meetup both held on October 18, 2026.

Luzon Avenue
In the Luzon Avenue Congregation, the activity included viewing of a photo exhibit mounted in the basement parking area of the house of worship.

Prior to the opening of the said exhibit, the brethren were entertained with a musical presentation by the congregation’s choral group, Ambassadors of Faith, Love, and Hope.

Afterwards, they were led to the exhibit which showcased photographs taken by fellow brethren. The photographs were sorted into six categories, namely, Portrait: In their Moment, Street & Everyday Life: Life Around Us, Food & Still Life: A Taste of Life, Architecture & Spaces: Built Perspectives, Landscape: Beyond the Horizon, and Open/Creative: Beyond the Frame.

“Recalling our previous visitations to the brethren, we learned that many of them have an inclination toward photography. From that, we thought of launching an activity that will cater to their interest,” explained Brother Ryan Christian Rabanzo, local CFO overseer. “After the activity, many brethren expressed that they were spiritually uplifted,” he added.

“This was the first of its kind to be held in our local congregation,” shared Alcie Grace Sediaco, local Buklod secretary. “For this reason, there was a huge turnout of photo submissions from the brethren who were eager to take part in this activity.”

Ulrich David Dela Cruz, Children’s Worship Service (CWS) teacher, enthused, “Throughout the event, the brethren were happily viewing the photographs on display, and were proud every time they saw their own or their family members’ submissions.”

“Glory be to the Lord God for He did not let our efforts be in vain,” expressed Keith Melee Sola, local KADIWA president. “Through this activity, the participants were not only able to showcase their skills in photography, but also impart happy memories to their fellow brethren,” she added.

Veterans Village 1
The Veterans Village 1 Congregation conducted the monthly meetup by staging the Himig ng Kaligtasan (Songs of Salvation) singing contest. For this, more than 400 members gathered at the Tikme Dine Restaurant located at The RoyalCare Venue, Don Faustino St., Barangay Holy Spirit, Quezon City.

“This activity aims to give glory to the Lord God, and help the Church Administration in strengthening the faith of the brethren amidst the many trials which they are experiencing nowadays,” explained resident minister, Brother Ricardo Viernes.

Donned in vibrant costumes, choral groups from each of the congregation’s areas serenaded the audience with their respective renditions of Salamat Po Ama, Sa Pamamahala. Each presentation was evaluated according to technical ability and musicality, stage presence, mastery, creativity, and showmanship.

Area 4 was declared champion. “When our choral group was declared champion, I felt overwhelmed with happiness, excitement, and gratitude. It was a fulfilling moment because all our hard work, sacrifices, and countless hours of practice had finally paid off,” enthused Tyler Richmond, choir member. “I saw this as an opportunity to challenge myself, gain new experiences, and build stronger connections with my fellow brethren,” he added.

Named first runner-up was Area 5, while Area 1 was 2nd runner-up. Each winning choral group was given a plaque of recognition.

“It took months for us to prepare for this activity, and praises be to our Lord God for all of our efforts paid off with great success,” expressed Jazmyre Marianne Baniqued, local KADIWA assistant secretary.

“It was so pleasing to see how families of brethren eagerly took part in this activity. The jubilant cheering of their fellow brethren and their smiles showed how happy they were for being part of this event,” remarked local CFO overseer, Brother Erick Gomez.
