Free medical and dental services were provided through a community outreach activity organized by the Ecclesiastical District of Rizal in the Philippines. The medical and dental mission was held at Ynares Event Center in Antipolo City, Rizal on February 22, 2025.

Volunteer doctors and healthcare professionals, who are officers and members of the district’s Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS), facilitated the activity. “Being able to help my fellow brethren, and nonmembers, by giving them free medical services has been fulfilling,” said CMDPS member and dentist Mignonette Francisco.

Among the free medical services offered were check-up for adults, blood pressure BP monitoring, and capillary blood glucose (CBG) monitoring. Free medicines and vitamins were also distributed.

Aside from free medical services, dental check-ups for kids were also provided for free. They even availed dental cleaning and fluoride application, as well as free dental kits.

“For us, members of the Church Of Christ, it is very important that we always take care of our health for we use this primarily in serving the Lord God,” said district Buklod officer Mario Tiñana. “That is why the purpose of this medical mission is to help the brethren, and even nonmembers, know their health condition and guide them towards the proper way of taking care of their health.”

“Free medical services and medicines given in this activity are beneficial to us, especially nowadays that medical check-ups cost greatly,” said Eden Monden from Antipolo Congregation.

Vilma Amil of Barcelona Congregation guided her kids to the venue. “I’m very happy for my children having been able to have dental check-ups,” she said.

Most of the kids who benefited from the dental mission are members of Children’s Worship Service (CWS). Having seen their smiles right after their teeth were taken care of, district CWS officer Arra Czarina Igno said that this humanitarian activity “will also make the CWS members all the more zealous in participating in the CWS activities.” — With reports from Janice Ann Mata of INC News Section
