The Local Congregation of Compostela in the Ecclesiastical District of Cebu City, Cebu, Philippines, recently reached its 75th anniversary of establishment. In celebration, Church members there, led by their resident ministerial worker, Brother Arvin M. Regalado, held various activities in May 2026.

“We express our sincerest gratitude to the Almighty God, for He is the One Who continues to be with us throughout the years, enabling us to perform our holy endeavors,” Brother Regalado expressed, on behalf of the brethren.

On May 3 and 10, the brethren united in sharing their faith by handing out copies of the Pasugo: God’s Message magazine to hundreds of residents of barangays Panangban and Upper Guiwanon, respectively. During such Pasugo drives, residents were also invited to attend an evangelical mission on May 12.

Brother Ramil Tolentino II, assistant supervising minister of the district, officiated the said evangelical mission. During the occasion, he taught from the Bible that Judgment Day will soon take place and so people ought to find refuge, that is, the true Church—the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ)—the one which Christ Himself will save on that day.

A fun walk was held on May 30, spearheaded by local Christian Family Organizations (CFO) officers. Starting from their house of worship, the brethren walked to the baywalk in Seafront, Poblacion, where they did physical exercises and bonded with their families.

“This was a great way for us to take a little time off from our everyday busyness, while focusing more on our health and family,” expressed Karylle Chryss Borja, choir member and local chronicler.

The musical concert, which was the main highlight of Compostela Congregation’s anniversary celebration, was held in the afternoon of May 31 at Sunntonya Beach Resort.

To make all in attendance aware of the congregation’s humble beginnings, a historical exhibit was mounted by the entrance of the venue, which they toured prior to the concert’s program. There were also various booths likewise prepared by CFO officers, such as karaoke challenge and coloring activity for the young Church members.

The musical concert commenced with Brother Regalado leading the opening prayer and delivering his welcome remarks.

KADIWA and Binhi members kicked off the performances by dancing to Kapatid, Tara na! (Brethren, Let’s Go!), an INC original song. Catherine and Catrina Aldiano sang in duet Still Blessed By God. Children’s Worship Service and adult choir members sang in chorale Sing Praises With All Of Our Might and Salamat Po, Ama, Sa Pamamahala (Thanks, Father, For The Church Administration), respectively.

After the entire program, Brother Tolentino delivered the closing remarks and led the closing prayer. “It is very important to commemorate this milestone because reaching this feat is only through God’s help and mercy. We ought to thank and praise Him by coming together edifying one another even more through Church activities,” he said.

In an interview, Brother Regalado said, “We will uphold our unity with the Church Administration so that we can continue obeying the words of God and so give glory and honor to Him.” — With assistance from Jenard Armas and Cebu City, Cebu District Multimedia
