PARAÑAQUE CITY, Metro Manila — The Philippine Heart Center (PHC) helped in a blood donation drive in Parañaque City organized by the Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC).

An eight-member medical team from the PHC joined INC volunteer doctors and nurses in the blood donation drive in BF Homes Subdivision that was attended by hundreds of local residents on March 8, 2025.

“To our volunteer donors, thank you so much because you are what we call modern-day heroes … You help so many, saving lives … So, thank you very much for your unwavering support of blood donation drives, like the one being done by the INC,” said Christian Flora, a medical technologist who was part of the PHC medical team.

The blood collected during this event is donated to the blood bank at the PHC. As the event’s partner hospital, the PHC played a key role in ensuring donor safety and maintaining the quality of the donated blood, ensuring it met all necessary safety standards.

Brother Ely Nazaria, an INC minister, explained that the blood donation activities held here and in other countries were in adherence to the biblical teaching to do good whenever possible.

That same day, March 8, 2025, the INC also held blood donation activities in Manila City and Caloocan City in Metro Manila; Palayan City, Nueva Ecija; Paniqui, Tarlac; and Rodriguez, Rizal.
