Fully believing God’s truth in the Bible that entering the Church Of Christ is the way to salvation, prospective members in the Ecclesiastical District of Australia West braved all hindrances and adversities to reach the final step of their conversion—receiving holy baptism.
In mainland Australia, the candidates for baptism were gathered at the house of worship of the Melbourne, Victoria Local Congregation on July 30, 2021. Receiving further instruction in God’s teachings from the district supervising minister, Brother Romeo Beltran, they were encouraged to all the more place their hope in the Almighty God and hold on firmly to their membership inside the Church to attain salvation.
Meanwhile, in Papua New Guinea, a four-day series of baptisms officiated by Brother Regino Manangan Jr., a minister of the gospel were held in four different places of worship.
These were at the Port Moresby Congregation on July 29, at the Lae City Local Congregation on July 30, at the Madang Group Worship Service (GWS) on July 31, and finally, at the Mount Hagen GWS on August 1.
In each baptism, during the study of God’s words, the officiating minister taught the would-be members the great blessings that come with the true baptism inside the Church Of Christ. He preached, from the Bible, that they were about to receive the right to serve God and Jesus Christ and the hope for the promised salvation.
In an interview, Brother Manangan conveyed the Papua New Guinea brethren’s resolve to remain united with the district leadership and the Church Administration in proclaiming the pure gospel. He said, “We, in the district, wholeheartedly vow to continue to propagate the words of God. We will not cease in letting many people know that salvation can only be attained inside the Church Of Christ.” — With reports from INC News Section
