The first week of October 2026 saw Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Local Congregation of Sabang in the Ecclesiastical District of Aurora, in the Philippines, participating in an evangelical mission, a coastal clean-up drive, and an INC Unity Games in that order.

Evangelical mission
Despite the inclement weather, the brethren from Sabang brought many guests to the evangelical mission that they held at their house of worship on October 2.

Brother Joven Ace Tropel, resident ministerial worker, officiated at the evangelistic activity. He expounded on the biblical truth that joining the Iglesia Ni Cristo is necessary for man’s salvation as the Savior Jesus Christ Himself instructed people to do so.

A guest by the name of Princess Crizza Joy Jastiva said, “I am so grateful to have been invited to the INC’s evangelical mission. I have learned that the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior Himself, instructed people to join the Iglesia Ni Cristo to be saved on Judgment Day.” She decided to enlist as a doctrinal instructee afterwards.

Prior to the evangelical mission, the brethren, led by Brother Tropel, distributed Pasugo: God’s Message magazines and invitations in their neighborhood.

 Coastal clean-up drive

On October 3, donned in their INC Giving shirts, the brethren united in cleaning the coastal area of Sabang, almost two kilometers from their house of worship.

From 8:00 in the morning, they swept the area, picked up and collected weeds and driftwood, which they properly disposed of afterward.

“I truly enjoyed participating in this activity as it helps keep the coastline clean, strengthens bond among brethren, and, above all, gives glory and honor to the Lord God,” said Ricarte Ramos, the congregation’s Buklod president.

“Having an activity such as this also promotes awareness among people in the community of the importance of cleaning the environment to protect our natural resources and prevent illnesses,” stated Lanie Gorospe, the congregation’s head secretary.

INC Unity Games: Buklod Edition

On October 4, the married members from Sabang competed with those from the local congregations of Baler and Reserva, as well as the Dibut, EVM, and Ipil Group Worship Services (GWS), for an INC Unity Games: Buklod Edition.

The activity was aimed at further strengthening their bond and camaraderie, and was held at the basketball court of Barangay Reserva, Baler, Aurora.

Brother Esmeraldo Mayoralgo, district supervising minister, graced the event with his presence.

During the sporting events, the brethren showcased their talents in basketball, women’s volleyball, and board games such as chess, dama (checker), and Scrabble.

The Sabang Congregation won in basketball and chess, while the Reserva Congregation emerged as champion in volleyball, dama, and Scrabble.

“I thank the Church Administration for implementing such an activity where the brethren could bond with one another and display our talents for the glory of the Lord,” expressed Vivencio Gorospe Jr., a deacon.

“On behalf of all the brethren, I thank the Lord God for the success of our activities. These activities were part of the commemoration of  God’s abundant love and blessing to our local congregation as it reached its 69th anniversary this year,” said Brother Tropel.
