On September 12, 2026, the 150-seater house of worship of the Local Congregation of Sibugon, in the Ecclesiastical District of Misamis Occidental, Philippines, was rededicated to God through a worship service officiated by Brother Apolinario Seacor, district supervising minister.
In the worship gathering, Brother Seacor reminded the brethren to stand firmly in the face of persecution in order to remain in their calling and be saved on Judgment Day. He also emphasized that they should take care of and value the house of worship with which they have been blessed, since it is where they all the more experience God’s love and fellowship.
Located in Area 3, Barangay Sibugon, Lopez Jaena, Misamis Occidental, Philippines, the said edifice was furnished with LED TVs, CCTVs, a generator set, and an organ. Also constructed were a pastoral house and office spaces.
“I am truly grateful to the Lord God for answering our prayer through the Church Administration. Having a magnificent house of worship such as this truly inspires me to be even more dedicated to fulfilling my duty,” said Lenie Sumaylo, a head deacon.
“I am very happy to have a new house of worship. I have seen how this local congregation has flourished since I was a Children’s Worship Service (CWS) member up to now that I already have grandchildren. Indeed, this newly built house of worship is God’s testament to His love and goodness,” enthused Liezel Bucio, a deaconess. Three days later, on September 15, the first evangelical mission in the newly renovated house of worship was held. Brethren from the neighboring local congregations of Lopez Jaena and Pottery also brought guests.
Brother Eleazar Ducusin, district Light Of Salvation (LOS) overseer, officiated at the evangelistic activity. During the study of God’s words, he emphasized that God’s greatest blessing is His calling for people to serve and worship Him in order to receive eternal life at the Second Advent of the Lord Jesus Christ—not the material riches.
Noralyn Nacional Terro from Biasong, Lopez Jaena, a guest, shared, “I am thankful to have been invited to the evangelical mission of the INC because I have learned that, for one to be saved, he needs to enter or join the Iglesia Ni Cristo, as this is what the Lord Jesus Christ commands.”
Another guest, Susan Verano, an Iglesia Filipina Independiente member, stated, “Through this evangelistic activity, I came to know the truth that joining the INC is necessary for man’s salvation. I’d like to be invited again so I may learn more about the biblical doctrines upheld by the INC.”
