With the approval of the Church Administration, Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Local Congregation of Bitoon, Ecclesiastical District of Bogo City, Cebu, in the Philippines, dedicated their new house of worship to the Lord God through a special worship service on September 4, 2026.

Brother Dante Mujar, district supervising minister, officiated at the holy gathering, preaching a Bible-based lesson reminding the congregants that the house of worship is the place God has chosen where His people should bring their offerings of praises and thanks to Him and it is where He promised to listen to their prayers.

“We render our gratitude to the Lord God for continuously using the Church Administration as His instrument in building houses of worship,” Brother Mujar said in an interview. “Though this island is remote—requiring about two hours of sea journey that can often be rough and challenging—the construction of this house of worship was completed through God’s help.”

The 100-seater new house of worship is located in the village of the congregation’s namesake, Kinatarcan Island, Santa Fe, Cebu. A pastoral house and offices for various departments were also built in the chapel’s compound.

“I returned home to this island specifically to attend the house of worship dedication in my home town,” shared Razel Gigante, choir member from the Mactan Congregation, Cebu City, Cebu District. “I’m grateful to the Executive Minister because the Bitoon Congregation now has a new house of worship, which is more beautiful than before.”

While the house of worship was under construction, brethren in the congregation attended worship services in a makeshift chapel in front of the compound.

“We’re overjoyed that the Executive Minister remembered us by providing us with a new house of worship in this remote locality on Kinatarcan,” expressed Jose Gilbuena, head deacon. “To the glory of God, we promise to lovingly care for and safeguard this sacred edifice.”

“With this house of worship, the brethren are all the more united in sharing the words of God,” Brother Mujar said. On their behalf, he added, “We will continue to intensify our efforts in the propagation of the gospel, striving to reach more people so that they, too, may come to the knowledge of the truth and attain salvation on the Day of Judgment.” — With assistance from Kevin Andagan
