The Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) in the Ecclesiastical District of Ireland has established a new group worship service (GWS) in Navan, a county town and the largest settlement in County Meath. Located in the heart of the Boyne Valley, Navan is known as Ireland’s floral town and is home to numerous historical sites.   The inaugural worship service of the Navan GWS was held at Claremont Stadium, Commons Road in Balreask Old, Navan, on August 23, 2026.

Brother Pepito Y. Acuesta, district supervising minister, officiated at the momentous sacred occasion.

In an interview, he said, “The Church Administration’s guidance on establishing Navan made clear to us that this GWS was established to strengthen the faith of God’s people in this part of the world, enabling them to serve our Lord even more actively.”

In line with this, Brother Acuesta emphasized during his Bible-based preaching that having high regard for the Church Administration appointed by God is of great importance to the brethren’s salvation.

Before the establishment of the Navan GWS, the brethren traveled for two hours to attend worship services at the nearest local congregations in Dublin or Dublin South.

“Now, it’s just 30 minutes away from my home, which is a huge improvement for all of us. The shorter travel time makes it more convenient for us to attend worship services, allowing us to arrive at the place of worship with more time and energy,” said Giuseppe Cadili, a Technical Support for Videostreaming (TSV) officer.

“As the Church Of Christ in Ireland marks its 25th anniversary in November this year, the establishment of an additional GWS in the country is yet another testament to the Church’s growth in this part of the world. All praises be to God,” enthused Brother Acuesta.

The Navan GWS is under the supervision of the Dublin South Congregation, with Brother Allan del Rosario serving as its resident minister. — With reports from Corinne Rhea Betsayda
