With the noble aim of further strengthening the faith and brotherly bond of Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members and families under its care, the Ecclesiastical District of Western Australia conducted Christian Family Organizations (CFO) Fun Day on August 16, 2026.

Western Australia

For the congregations within the state of Western Australia, the CFO Fun Day took place in the Gary Holland Community Centre.

Brother Olan Gaviola, district secretary, led the opening prayer. Brother Joemel Remoticado, district Church officers overseer, delivered the opening remarks. Then, Brother Lorenz Salomon, district CFO overseer, explained the house rules and safety instructions.

Afterwards, the brethren participated in the different games offered by the interactive booths for all ages prepared by each local congregation and group of worship service (GWS).

These were Basketball (Coogee Congregation), Ping-Pong Shooting (Perth), Balloon Darts (Australind), Toy Soldier Shooting (Stirling), Pyramid Shooting (Maddington), Ring Toss (Midland), Mini Bowling (Mandurah GWS), Fisherman Spot (Queens Park), Bean Bag Throw (Rockingham), Arcade Fighting Game (Ellenbrook), Videoke Challenge (Armadale), and Arcade Racing Game (Fremantle).

Brother Alec Joshua Remoticado, resident ministerial worker of Armadale Congregation, led the prayer.

In an interview, Brother Joemel Remoticado said, “CFO Fun Day brings joy to every member of the family and fortifies the bond among them. It gives them a pause from everyday struggles they face in life. This activity also further strengthened the brotherhood and unity in the Church.”

Amy Navarro, one of the event’s organizers, enthused, “I felt overjoyed seeing all the brethren very happy and excited participating in this activity. The efforts that we have put into this activity were all worth it.”

Northern Territory

Congregations in the Northern Territory converge in the Territory Netball Stadium for the activity.

Brother RJ Jaraza, assistant district supervising minister, graced the event with his presence and gave the welcome remarks. This was after the opening prayer led by Brother Marson Ramirez, resident ministerial worker of Darwin Congregation. Then, Jazz Da Silva, one of the event’s organizers, explained the house rules of the activity.

“The CFO Fun Day was launched by the Church Administration to look after the welfare of every family inside the Church Of Christ,” said Brother Jaraza in an interview. “Through this activity, the brethren continue to feel the great concern, love, and care of the Church Administration for them.”

Brethren participated in the interactive booths prepared by CFO officers, which included Basketball Shootout, Ping Pong Shooting, Get The Gift, Ring Toss, and Feed the Tiger.

Brother Leonard Galang, resident minister of Palmerston City Congregation, said the closing prayer.

“Although it is challenging to organize an event such as this, what makes it easier is when we work as a team. And what really makes it worth it is when we see the brethren smile,” said Da Silva. — With reports from Hannah Sharlene Leoncio
