Praising and thanking the Lord God for His help and guidance for 45 years, Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Ecclesiastical District of Quirino attended a special gathering on May 24, 2026 at the house of worship of San Leonardo Congregation. The Church Administration sent Brother Bienvenido Dela Cruz, minister of the gospel, to officiate at the said gathering.

During his preaching, Brother Dela Cruz mentioned that amidst the various events taking place in the world today which signify that the Second Advent of the Lord Jesus Christ is near, God’s people must continue to follow the biblical instruction to remain resilient and faithful even if they face hindrances as they sojourn in this world.

“This gathering was held to recognize the blessings and guidance which God bestowed upon our district for 45 years,” explained Brother Rodante Elevado, district supervising minister. On behalf of the district, he said, “As we thank our Lord God for granting victories in the various endeavors in the district, we also promise that we will never cease in fulfilling our duties which give glory to Him.”

Jimmy Serrano, head deacon of La Paz Congregation, expressed his gratitude to the Lord God for making him “able to witness how He guided the district towards many triumphs for 45 years despite everything that the brethren went through.”

“In the early years of the Church in this province, there were no concrete houses of worship. I even had to walk long distances in order to reach the house of worship and perform my duty,” Melilia Sumalbag, pioneer member and deaconess from La Paz Congregation, shared. “But now, seeing how the Church has grown here, all I can say is that this is truly the work of God.”

Also, during the said gathering, around 400 brethren were sworn into various Church offices.

Among them was Berna Clarrizza Reyes from San Roque Congregation who took oath as a choir member. In an interview, she said, “I am happy for having been blessed with this duty. Through this, I can be able to lead the brethren in praising and glorifying God.” — With reports from Villamark Ramos
