As part of this year’s Iglesia Ni Cristo Chroniclers International Assembly, special gatherings were held worldwide. Present in the said gathering were not just INC chroniclers, but also head secretaries, head deacons, and Christian Family Organization (CFO) officers from various local congregations.
In the Ecclesiastical District of Rizal, Brother Eraño G. Quinitio, minister overseeing the INC Research and Information Section (RIS), officiated the said gathering at the house of worship of Village East Congregation on May 16, 2026.
In his biblical preaching, Brother Quinitio highlighted the importance of preserving the historical records of the Church which will be of great help in edifying the faith and inspiring the future generations of Church members. He added that in fulfilling this duty, those who are entrusted with this divine task must imitate God’s early servants who possessed diligence and integrity.
On the same date, in the Ecclesiastical District of Central, the said gathering was held at the house of worship of V. Luna Congregation with Brother Diosdado F. Dades, district supervising minister, officiating. Among those present were chroniclers assigned in various departments of the INC Central Office.
During the gathering, a total of 56 additional local congregation chroniclers (LCC) were sworn into office. After the occasion, the attendees witnessed the ribbon-cutting of the exhibit featuring entries of local congregations in the INC Photo Essay Competition.
Aside from the aforementioned ones, similar gatherings were held in various ecclesiastical districts which were presided by respective district supervising ministers and ministers consisting the district leadership.
Philippines
In Metro Manila, in the Ecclesiastical District of Quezon City, the occasion was held on May 16 at the house of worship of Fairview Congregation. Marikina District held theirs at the houses of worship of the Local Congregations of FYM Avenue and Sta. Ana, while Makati District held it at Pasay Congregation house of worship. On the day after, Metro Manila South District held gatherings at the houses of worship of Cupang Muntinlupa, Almanza, and CAA Congregations.
On the same date, in North Luzon, the Ecclesiastical District of Candon City, Ilocos Sur, held the gathering at the houses of worship of Banayoyo and Sevilla Congregations; Ilocos Sur District at the worship building of Sto. Domingo Congregation as the host site with others witnessing at 4 remote sites; and Rosales, Pangasinan District at 4 houses of worship. Cagayan West District held theirs on May 17 at 8 houses of worship.
In Central Luzon, particularly in the Ecclesiastical District of Capas, Tarlac, officers convened at the houses of worship of Dolores, La Paz, Alfonso, Pag-asa, and O’ Donnell Congregations on May 16.
In South Luzon, Quezon South Ecclesiastical District held gatherings on May 15 in 7 worship buildings wherein 20 new officers were added. Then on May 16, the Ecclesiastical District of Dasmariñas City, Cavite held the gathering at 3 houses of worship. Quezon West District held theirs at Taguan and Sariaya Congregations. In Palawan South District, brethren gathered at Plaridel Congregation as the host site with 3 remote sites, while chroniclers from Palawan and Calamian Districts gathered at 6 and 4 sites, respectively. On May 17, those from Albay District convened at 8 houses of worship wherein a total of 41 additional chroniclers took oath.
In Visayas, in the Ecclesiastical Districts of Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, and Western Samar, officers gathered at 4 houses of worship each on May 16. Then, on the same date in Mindanao, in Maguindanao District, the gathering was held at Pigcawayan Congregation house of worship. Also, in Surigao del Norte District, brethren convened at the house of worship of Surigao City Congregation, while those in the Ecclesiastical District of Tandag City, Surigao del Sur at 4 sites. In the Ecclesiastical District of Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur, the occasion was held at 5 sites and added 24 new chroniclers. Then, on May 17, Zamboanga del Norte District held theirs at the house of worship of Dipolog City Congregation.
Outside the Philippines
In the Ecclesiastical District of Southern Ontario, the gathering was held on May 15 at the house of worship of Mississauga Congregation.
Then, on May 16, in Texas District, the occasion was held at the worship building of Houston Congregation and was streamed live to 6 remote sites. The Ecclesiastical District of Los Angeles County, California held theirs at the Los Angeles Congregation house of worship wherein 78 officers were added. In the Ecclesiastical District of San Diego County, California, brethren convened at El Cajon Congregation house of worship.
In the Ecclesiastical District of South Korea, brethren gathered in their respective houses of worship and attended via livestreaming with the place of worship of Seoul Congregation as the host site.
A day after, officers in Edmonton District gathered at the Wellington Congregation worship building. Then, on May 19, the Ecclesiastical District of New Zealand South held theirs at Christchurch Congregation house of worship and was witnessed by brethren from Invercargill, Otago, and Nelson regions in their respective houses of worship via livestreaming.
Reactions
Carlo Carpiano, newly sworn chronicler from Tagumpay Congregation, Calamian District, expressed, “I am thankful for being entrusted with this duty wherein I can be of help in preserving the historical records of our local congregation.” His wife, Faye, who also took oath that day, promised that “no matter what happens, I will strive to do my part in helping the Church Administration.”
In another interview, Esmeralda Maniquis, newly sworn chronicler from Templo Central Congregation, Ecclesiastical District of Central, shared, “I have witnessed many significant events unfold in our congregation. Through the duty that I have, I will be able to impart these to bring further inspiration to future generations of brethren.”
Dexie Salcedo from Marikina Centro Congregation, Marikina District, expressed, I am happy for being here for through the lesson taught, I had a deeper understanding in the scope of my duty.” Meanwhile, Preciousmae Tilo, chronicler from EGM Congregation, Rizal District, shared that “chronicling is not an easy thing to do for it has to be done accurately. It is only with God’s help that I am able to continue fulfilling this duty.”
“It is of great importance that the historical records of the Church are carefully preserved so its present and future generations may continue to place their trust and hope in God Who did and continues doing these great works for the Church,” explained Brother Gelson Presilda, minister assigned at the RIS. “The wonderful works of God for His people, recorded in the history books of the local congregations and districts, serve as additional witnesses to the truth that the Church is truly consisted of the people of God, and that its victories are the works of His mighty hands.”
“Through these activities launched by the Church Administration, the brethren further appreciate the wonderful works of God fulfilled throughout the entirety of the Church and within our district, serving not only as inspiration but also as a testament that this is the one true Church guided by our Almighty God,” explained Brother Ricardo E. Alipio, Southern Ontario District supervising minister.
On behalf of the brethren in Rizal District, Brother Alfonso O. Rico, supervising minister, expressed, “We thank our beloved Executive Minister and Deputy Executive Minister for their love for the brethren. Through activities like this, brethren are further edified in their faith and are all the more inspired to continue fulfilling their divine duties no matter what happens.” – With reports from Districts’ Multimedia
