Exuberant members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) all over the Philippines gathered on July 26, 2026 in anticipation of their respective houses of worship’s simultaneous lighting up as they welcomed the Church’s 112th anniversary the following day, July 27, 2026.

Owing their gratitude to and praising God for all the successes He has bestowed upon the Church, they first gathered inside the houses of worship for a prayer of thanks. The prayer was set at 10:00 p.m.

Afterwards, the brethren, led by the Church officers, stayed together for socializing activities at respective venues adjacent to their house of worship compounds, paving the way for a more memorable night.

Central Temple

In Quezon City, brethren flocked to watch the Central Temple turn on all its light. With brethren there, hundreds more from various other districts near and far made it in person to the Temple’s façade not only to stare up close at its sparkling beauty.

“It’s my first time taking a photo of the Central Temple with my loved ones. People just keep coming, by the hundreds. It’s so happy to see so many brethren from various districts. There were with their families, others even wore gold-colored dresses to terno (matching outfit) with the sparkly lit Central Temple. Upon taking photos, others would just sit or stand, totally in awe of its radiance. It rained but we remain undeterred. The heavy downpour only added up to our jubilant mood,” enthused Kimberly I. Benedicto, 26, a Children’s Worship Service (CWS) teacher, district CWS officer, and choir member from the Local Congregation of Summerville, Ecclesiastical District of Rizal, on the eve of the Church anniversary.

Others even went to the other side of Commonwealth Avenue, the widest highway in the Philippines, to take personal and group photos with the lit Central Temple as their background, thereby capturing the celebratory mood in the air.
