On separate dates in March 2026, Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members in the Local Congregation of Tierra Nova, Ecclesiastical District of Caloocan North in the Philippines, joined various activities, all organized by the local leadership, with resident minister Brother Cris John Crisostomo leading them.
Pasugo distribution
On March 15, the brethren distributed copies of the Pasugo: God’s Message magazine at Tierra Nova Subdivision, Caloocan City. Around 500 copies were distributed.
“Pasugo distribution is one of the ways by which members of the Church propagate the words of God and for more people to know the significance of the Church Of Christ,” said Children’s Worship Service (CWS) teacher Minerva Calinog.
Thus, they also took the opportunity to extend an invitation to their evangelical mission to be held the day after.
Evangelical mission
The evangelical mission on March 16 was held at the congregation’s house of worship. Caloocan North District assistant supervising minister Brother Erman Bendicio led the study of God’s words. A total of 146 guests attended.
Brother Bendicio taught from the Holy Scriptures how so important it is for people to join the Church Of Christ to receive God’s promised salvation. As it was in the days of Noah, God’s faithful servant of old, so it has become nowadays that people will become so wicked. Wickedness in Noah’s time resulted in incurring God’s ire by means of the great flood. And so, the perdition of ungodly men will again take place, this time the worst, being on Judgment Day when the whole earth—everything in it—will be devoured by fire. To be saved from that day, man should be prepared by being found in peace with God, which can only be attained by being part or members of Christ’s one body or Church—the Church Of Christ.
“It is a great experience being able to attend this activity. There’s orderliness inside the house of worship. The lesson’s understandable, and all that was taught were read from the Bible,” observed guest Emilita de Guzman, 62.
Calinog, who participated in the Pasugo drive, was the one who invited de Guzman. When asked what her motivation is in sharing her faith, “it is my faith that salvation can only be found in the Church Of Christ. That is what all people should also know,” Calinog shared. She further said, “As a convert, I also want other people to know what I have understood. It is the importance of the Church Of Christ.”
Blood donation
Four days later, on March 20, more than a hundred volunteer brethren participated in a blood donation activity that was held at Tierra Nova Phase 4 Covered Court. From the necessary health screenings up to the actual donation, medical and healthcare professionals of the New Era General Hospital facilitated, its patients being the beneficiaries of such a humanitarian event.
“More than 20 times now,” recalled local safety officer Renato Reyes when asked how many times it has been that he qualified as a blood donor. “Donating blood is very important because it saves lives and I am able to express my love for my fellowmen who are in need of blood,” he said.
‘Welcome My Brethren’
On March 29, a “Welcome My Brethren” activity was held at the aforementioned covered court for the doctrinal instructees and prospective members. The attendees participated in the fun and interactive games prepared by the officers of Christian Family Organizations.
“Participating in this activity has been a joyful experience. I look forward to more events and meeting other brethren,” said doctrinal instructee Princess Sharmaine Segura. — With assistance from Felix Emmanuel Lintan
