Three Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) local congregations in Papua New Guinea, which are under the supervision of the Ecclesiastical District of Australia West, recently conducted baptisms of new members all of whom are Papuans.

The Local Congregations of Port Moresby, Lae City, and Wewak held the said service for admission of new converts at their respective houses of worship between August 24 and 25, 2024.

Brother Jayson Montes officiated at the baptismal service at Port Moresby on the 24th.

On the same day, Brother Darhley Pataweg presided over the baptism at Lae City and the following day the one at Wewak.

“These baptisms show the unwavering zeal of brethren helping in the Church’s works of propagating the true faith,” Brother Montes commented in an interview, “It is their joy to bear fruit of holiness, one of which is bringing people into the true Church.”

Recognizing what it means to be baptized into the true Church Of Christ, Dianne Stanley-Lucas of Lae City, said, “I thank the Lord God for leading me to the true religion. I’m sure that I will be saved on Christ’s return. And so, I will be ever true to my faith.” — With assistance from Loreen Quiñola
