On the Asian shore of Istanbul, the largest city in Turkey, lies a residential neighborhood called Kadıköy. This old settlement area is now home to the third group worship service (GWS) in this transcontinental country located in Western Asia. The Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) in this part of the world is under the supervision of the Ecclesiastical District of Mediterranean.
The inaugural worship service to God for the Kadıköy GWS was held on April 22, 2023 at the Green Park Hotel in downtown Kadıköy. Led by Brother Ramil S. Regino, district supervising minister, the holy occasion was filled with spiritual blessings through the words of God taught to the brethren that inspired them to remain enthusiastic in their services of Him.
Giving utmost importance to the worship service, the brethren in this newly established GWS are grateful to God for having a GWS near them. Among them, Stephanie Kaçmak, said, “The worship service is important to me because this is a commandment of our Lord God. It is where I receive the strength that I truly need. I also feel that God listens to my prayers whenever I attend worship services.”
“Praises be to God for we’re able to establish another GWS here in Turkey,” expressed Brother Sean Gamboa, resident minister. “With this, the brethren will continue remaining active in our duties to serve our Almighty God and in sharing our faith to our fellowmen.”
Brother Regino, on behalf of the brethren from Kadıköy GWS, expressed, “To our dearest Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, thank you to your constant support. Thank you also for guiding us in our spiritual endeavor as we get nearer to the fulfillment of our redemption or salvation.” — With reports from Melmarie Joy Kuvvet of INC News Section
