PHILIPPINES—As the ongoing pandemic endanger more lives, Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Local Congregation of Templo Central, Ecclesiastical District of Central participated in a blood donation activity held at the Barangay New Era Multi-Purpose Hall, Quezon City on November 26, 2020.
Medical personnel of the Philippine Children’s Medical Center (PCMC) facilitated the screening process and collection of blood from qualified donors, while also observing the government-imposed health and safety protocols.
One of them, Dr. Jeff Romano, appreciated the active involvement of Church members. “We are very thankful because many brethren actively took part in the blood donation activity,” he said.
PCMC is a government-owned tertiary hospital with a 200-bed capacity. It provides pediatric care and also offers training programs for medical and allied healthcare providers. It has also allowed the use of its facilities in treating Covid-19 patients. — With reports from Central District Multimedia
