“I thank God for I’ve just completed studying the fundamental teachings upheld by the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ), and I’m now a candidate for baptism. May God continue to guide me and strengthen my faith so I can remain in the Church until the end,” said Marites Calamayan of the Lingsat Congregation.

She was among the prospective members, and doctrinal instructees in the Ecclesiastical District of Batac City, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, who attended the special gathering on January 28, 2025. It was held at the Batac Congregation’s house of worship, with Brother Federico Ramos, assistant district supervising minister, officiating.

In his Bible-based homily, Brother Ramos encouraged everyone present to remain steadfast in their faith, especially amid persecutions and challenges. He emphasized the importance of remaining active in the Church, not just until baptism, but until the end to attain salvation on Judgment Day.

“What convinced me to undergo Bible studies in the Iglesia Ni Cristo were the lessons taught in the Church,” shared Joezeff Gabrielle Ramos, doctrinal instructee from the Fortuna Congregation. “When a minister preaches, the answers come directly from the Bible. I hope to become a full-fledged member so I can attain salvation on the Day of Judgment.”

“We will continue carrying out our duties in spreading the truth of salvation so that many more people will receive God’s promise of salvation,” said district Light Of Salvation overseer Brother Gerry Esteban, on behalf of all the ministers, ministerial workers, and brethren in the district. — With reports from Jake Torio
