Church Of Christ members in the Local Congregation of QwaQwa in Southern Africa Ecclesiastical District reaped the fruits of their intensive efforts in the works of propagation during the two consecutive baptisms held two days from each other.
On March 1, 2021, the first batch of prospective members eagerly arrived at the Local Congregation’s house of worship to receive their much-awaited holy baptism. Brother Rolando Macarol, a minister of the gospel, officiated at the holy gathering.
Meanwhile, Brother Tyrone Fontillas, also a minister of the gospel, led the study of God’s words on February 27.
From the Holy Scriptures, the two ministers taught the baptismal candidates the great blessings of receiving true baptism inside the Church Of Christ which is having the right to serve God and the hope for the salvation He promised.
In both occasions, afterward receiving final instruction in God’s words, the baptismal candidates took their oath of membership followed by a solemn prayer prior proceeding to the baptismal proper.
One of the newly baptized members, Mmalefu Adelice Mazibuko, said, “Now that I am a member of the Church Of Christ, I am certain that come the Day of Judgment I will be saved.”
Brother Jorgg Surio, resident minister, expressed his sincere gratitude to God for the continued increase of membership in their congregation: “We are very glad that many people were added into the Church that will worship and serve the true God, and most especially, will also receive the promised salvation.”— With reports from INC News Section
