“I am happy for having been entrusted with a duty in the Church,” expressed Trixia Mae Sangalang, a newly sworn-in secretary with the Local Congregation of Upper Bilolo.

She was among the 433 brethren from the different congregations in the Ecclesiastical District of Bataan South, Philippines, who took their oath of office during a special gathering on April 28, 2026 at the house of worship of the Balanga Congregation.

The Church Administration sent Brother Arnel T. Verceles, a minister of the gospel, to officiate at the sacred gathering. In his Bible-based preaching, he emphasized the importance of fulfilling one’s duty and its vital role in assisting in the supervision of the brethren’s religious services toward their salvation on Judgment Day.

After the study of God’s words, Brother Ramil Cruz, district Church officers overseer, administered the oath-taking of the new Church officers.

“It is our earnest desire to further help the Church Administration in overseeing and caring for the brethren,” he said in an interview later. “By performing our duties, as well, we become closer to God for He takes delight in such.”

Just like the rest of the new officers, Marcelo De Guzman, a newly sworn-in deacon from the Local Congregation of Banawang, promised to “fulfill my God-given duty to the best of my ability.” — With assistance from Paula Janine Dimaculangan
