“The Sderot Group Worship Service is the eighth GWS established here in Israel. This progress was all because of God’s miracle work. The consecutive GWS establishments in this country is unbelievable,” remarked Cesar Jandosay, a head deacon.
The Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members in this part of the world were thankful to God for having a place of worship closer to their homes and workplace. Prior to the Sderot GWS establishment, they used to attend worship services and religious gatherings at the Tel-Aviv Congregation’s place of worship which is 75 kilometers away from Sderot, a town in southern Israel.
The Sderot GWS was inaugurated on July 31, 2023 through a worship service led by the Mediterranean Ecclesiastical District supervising minister, Brother Ramil Regino, held at an event place in Ha-Bonim St 7, Netivot, Israel.
Emphasizing God’s blessings to His true servants, one of which is the hope of receiving salvation, Brother Regino encouraged the brethren to remain active in their calling and faithful to the Lord.
“We thank God for utilizing the Church Administration in leading us to heed the call of the Lord in being worthy of receiving the promised eternal life,” expressed Jandosay.
Ruby May Cortez, the GWS overseer, said, “We’re grateful for allowing us to attend this momentous occasion and having a GWS in Sderot. We promise to continue fulfilling God’s commands and sharing our faith.”
Succeeding worship services, among other gatherings, of the Sderot GWS are being held at the residence of Loreta Lagsac, GWS secretary. The newly established GWS is under the care of Brother Danny Pregillana, the district edification overseer. — With reports from Cleofe Ariola and Madel Riego of INC News Section
