On July 31, 2026, evangelical missions were held by the Ecclesiastical District of Hawaii-Pacific. As such, brethren from congregations across the islands of Oahu, Big Island, Kauai, Maui, and American Samoa invited guests to listen to God’s words.
For these evangelistic activities, Brother Gem H. Baitan, district supervising minister, led the study of God’s words at the house of worship of the Ewa Beach Congregation (Oahu); Brother Adorado Apostol, assistant district supervising minister, at that of the Local Congregation of Keaau (Big Island); Brother Randy Weir, district Church officers overseer, and fellow ministers of the gospel, Brother Edwin Valdez, and Brother Brian Aniciete, at Kalaheo (Kauai), Lahaina (Maui), and American Samoa, respectively.
Through the words of God written in the Bible, they taught the guests about man’s reason for being and how to find the right direction in life that will ultimately lead to his soul’s salvation come Judgment Day. They emphasized that this can be fulfilled by becoming a member of the Church Of Christ.
“It is my first time attending this activity. I like the preaching of the minister. It’s clear and understandable. The words of God really touched me. I want to come back and listen again to the teachings upheld by the Church,” said Delia Dickens, a guest. She was invited by Melony Armas, finance officer from Waipahu Congregation, who attested, “Seeing her teary-eyed as she listened to the lesson, I feel so overwhelmed. I am glad because I know that God calls people to join the Church through His words.”
Diane Galire, a guest from Naalehu who traveled to Keaau Congregation to attend the evangelical mission, said, “In your Church, I find it that everything is so solemn. I’m amazed to see people are really praying, and I see how serious you are in obeying God. I feel God, and it moves my heart.”
Vermont Pablo, head deacon of Kalaheo Congregation, said, “Even in the midst of difficulties and stress, we strive to fulfill our obligations because we know that sharing our faith is pleasing to God.”
Brother Mark Mareen Mehogne, resident ministerial worker of Kailua-Kona Congregation, added, “It is even more fitting for us to intensify further the work of propagation considering that Judgment Day is very near.” — With reports from Eraño Biong
