To mark the 70th anniversary of the Local Congregation of Evangelista, Ecclesiastical District of Makati in the Philippines, the brethren there gathered at Makati Central Square, Chino Roces Ave., Legaspi Village, Makati, for various activities on March 31, 2025.
The program began with an opening prayer led by the congregation’s Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer Brother Marco Angelo Sigua. Then, resident minister Brother Almineo Aguilar gave the opening remarks, encouraging everyone to remain steadfast in the faith by obeying all of God’s will, for them to continue doing what pleases God.
Prior to the showing of an audio-visual presentation highlighting the congregation’s activities over the years, KADIWA member Gia Tabo played the violin to showcase her rendition of the INC original song “Happy Victory.”
District supervising minister Brother Eduardo Olipas graced the event with his presence. He led the giving of recognition to brethren who excelled in various Church activities. The program concluded with the congregation’s Buklod president Dominique Dequiña leading a prayer.
“I thank the Lord God for the abundant blessings and guidance He has bestowed upon our congregation over the years. May we have brought glory and honor to Him,” said Melody Anne Adiao, Evangelista Congregation’s KADIWA president and also one of the event organizers.
Arsenia Paraiso, a deaconess for more than 70 years now, said, “I’m deeply grateful to witness our congregation’s growth. It’s all thanks to God’s help and mercy. I also thank the Church Administration for the unwavering guidance to ensure our spiritual well-being is taken care of. I pledge to continue fulfilling my Church duties until the end.
Kezianel Munar Dequiña, who was also one of the event organizers, enthused, “I thank the Lord God for the success of today’s activity. Without His help, it would not have been possible. I hope that through this occasion the brethren have been strengthened in the faith, have been inspired to continue doing what pleases the Lord God.”
