On April 7, 2026, the Ecclesiastical District of Tacloban City, Leyte leadership convened and led a special meeting of Church officers from all congregations in the district.

The noble aim of conducting the holy occasion was underscored in the Bible-based lecture of Brother Raul Ramirez Sr., district supervising minister. He emphasized that in fulfilling their functions in the Church, complete dedication to duty and obedience to Him are expected of them. He exhorted them to show greater care and compassion for the brethren entrusted to their care, ensuring both their salvation on Judgment Day.

The whole proceeding of the meeting was livestreamed to all local congregations from the house of worship of the Tacloban City Congregation which served as the host site. A total of 3,700 Church officers attended.

“I am thankful to God for the talent and duty He has given me. It’s not easy, considering I also have many other responsibilities in life,” said Rosalinda Mosca, an organist from the Local Congregation of Tanauan. “But when it comes to my duty, I always prioritize it over the things in this world [to] give glory and honor to God.”

“Having a Church duty requires sacrificing time, efforts, and even resources,” said Renato Pardilla Jr. of the San Joaquin Congregation. “I recognize it as a blessing because it helps me draw closer to the Lord God. And whenever I perform my duty, I feel solace in my heart.”

Pardilla, a head deacon, added, “I am very happy and thankful to the Lord God for continually using the Church Administration to inspire us in the fulfillment of our duties. I promise that as long as I have life, I will perform my duty wholeheartedly.” — With reports from Joren dela Piña
