Calamba City Congregation in the Ecclesiastical District of Calamba City, Laguna, in the Philippines, marked its 90th anniversary with back-to-back activities held within the congregation’s compound.

The celebration commenced with a curated historical exhibit in the basement of the house of worship. It was opened for the brethren’s viewing from April 11 to 12, 2026. The following day, on April 13, an evangelical mission was conducted wherein Church members gathered in the chapel with their guests to hear God’s message of salvation.

Historical exhibit

Various photos including that of the congregation’s first house of worship, past activities, previous and current district supervising ministers, pioneering members, and miniatures of various houses of worship within the district were displayed in the exhibit.

“We’re glad to have shared this with the brethren, especially to the youth, for this clearly shows how God blesses the Church in this area ever since,” shared Brother Igni Cris Dela Cruz, a ministerial worker.

“I can’t explain the nostalgia that this exhibit brought me,” enthused Pepito Nieva Sr., head deacon. “Thanks to the Church Administration for this have inspired Church members like myself to keep on serving God as more years pass us by,” he also expressed.

Evangelical mission

The evangelistic event was officiated at by Brother Solomon Donato, the assistant district supervising minister. He used the Bible to preach the right manner by which man can be saved, that is, by becoming an active member of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) until the end.

Nearly 300 guests heard the message of salvation. A total of 25 were invited by Jose Teresito Luna, one of the head deacons. He shared what inspired him to invite his fellowmen: “This is in adherence to God’s will to show care for others by helping them know the truth, for them to have the chance to be saved on Judgment Day.”

Meanwhile, Brother Nathaniel Laput, resident minister, promised on behalf of the brethren in his care to “remain helpful in all the works of the Church, especially the propagation of the true faith and edification of our brethren. This way, we can always please God and prove to Him that we’ll always serve Him whatever the circumstances may be.”  — With assistance from Jayson Balisi and Xerriel Wright Adao
