“It has given great joy to the brethren in our congregation. This remarkable moment will always be cherished,” said Nereo Daproza, head deacon.

The house of worship of the Local Congregation of Cabugao, Ecclesiastical District of Ilocos Sur, in the Philippines, recently underwent a major renovation and was rededicated to God on July 5, 2024. Part of the project was the construction of offices for the congregation’s various departments, and dressing rooms. A state-of-the-art sound system was also installed.

Brother Marco Luisito Tamayo, the district supervising minister, officiated at the special worship service. In his homily, he reminded the attendees that Church Of Christ members should be thankful to God for the successes He has granted to the Church, in fulfillment of His promises. More importantly, he conveyed to them, as God’s people in these last days, that they should also lead a righteous way of life because glory should also reflect in His people’s heart.

“I will see to it that the words of God will be my guiding light as I continue in my services to Him in the house of worship,” reflected Cherry Banilad, choir leader.

On behalf of the congregation, Brother Ericson Aytona, resident minister, shared their zeal of upholding worship services to God. Asked why, he explained, “During worship services here in the house of worship, the brethren draw inspiration as they conduct their daily lives.”

The 200-seater house of worship of Cabugao Congregation can be found in  the village of Bonifacio, 26 kilometers from the district office in the Local Congregation of Vigan City. — With reports from Edlyn Antolin of INC News Section
