Through a special worship service led by Brother Israel Facundo, minister of the gospel, the newly-built house of worship of the Local Congregation of Bucana, Ecclesiastical District of Davao City, Philippines was dedicated to God on August 9, 2024. Brethren there were joined by those from other local congregations in the district.

The 900-seater edifice stands majestically at the coastal area of Barangay Bucana.  Equipped with the state-of-the art facilities, such as videostreaming devices, the edifice is indeed a landmark in Bucana. “We’re so happy that the Lord God has granted us this magnificent house of worship. We will so lovingly care for this place,” said Martiliano Casinginan, a head deacon.

Connie Gargalicano, organist in Bucana, said, “It’s so magnificent. Like other edifices of the Church, our house of worship is really suitable for the praises we render for our God. I will ever be dedicated to my duties in the Church.”

Brother Facundo emphasized from the Bible that it is in the house of worship where the Lord God will all the more listen to the prayers and praises of His true servants.

Reflecting on the lesson, Casinginan added, “I will continue leading my household to always trusting in God. We will always find our joy in this house of worship by being active in Church activities, such as evangelical missions, and primarily, our worship services.” —With assistance from Lucky Ylagan and Mayby-Lynn Tarroja
