Ever united with the Church Administration in the work of propagating the true faith, Church Of Christ members in the Local Congregation of Bitas, Ecclesiastical District of Pampanga East, Philippines conducted a Pasugo drive on November 23, and an evangelical mission three days after.

Led by the Church officers, the brethren gave out copies of the Pasugo: God’s Message magazine to the barangays (villages) of Bitas, Lacmit, and Palinlang, which are within their local congregation’s jurisdiction. Approximately 1,500 copies of the Pasugo magazine were handed out to the residents, whom the Church members also invited to the November 26 evangelical mission.

“By sharing our faith with others, we are able to fulfill God’s command and do what is pleasing before Him,” said Jamiely Kim Manlapig, a choir member, who was not only able to invite but also bring along guests.

The evangelical mission was held at the house of worship of the Bitas Congregation. Brother Marvin Obar, district Light Of Salvation (LOS) overseer, officiated at the event. During his homily, he taught from the Holy Scriptures how one can attain a peaceful life and a blessed household in the midst of a troublous world.

“The preaching was straight from the Bible—no personal opinions added,” said Eduardo Flores whom Jamiely invited. “I like how in the Iglesia Ni Cristo, everything is done in an orderly way—there’s hymn singing, an appointed time for the gathering, and a separation in the seating of the males and females. Even the members themselves are disciplined in the way that they dress,” he further said.

“With God’s help, as well as the united effort of the brethren, many of our fellowmen here in Bitas were able to benefit from the preaching of God’s words,” said Brother Renzee Keith Ventura, resident ministerial worker of the Bitas Congregation. Speaking on behalf of the brethren, he conveyed, “Our local congregation will remain united with the Church Administration in all works of the Church, for us to do what is pleasing to the Lord God.” — With assistance from Genlet Clark E.
