QUEZON CITY, Philippines – On September 13, 2025, the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) held simultaneous blood donation drives in Calamba City, Laguna and Binondo, Manila—mobilizing hundreds of Church members to support local hospitals and patients in need.

Senen Abila, the Blood Bank Manager at San Pablo Colleges Medical Center (SPCMC), the partner hospital of the INC in Calamba City, shared that their facility typically requires 10 to 15 blood bags daily, with supply lasting only 5 to 10 days. “The Iglesia Ni Cristo has been a great help to us, as their donations typically extend our blood supply,” he said.

From just two locations, INC volunteers contributed nearly 300 blood bags—equivalent to 130,000 cubic centimeters of blood—enough to sustain hospital needs for up to 20 days, based on SPCMC’s projections.

Dr. Ester Peralta, an INC member and President of the Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS), reaffirmed the Church’s consistent commitment to blood donation efforts in Manila. “Almost every month, the INC holds a blood donation drive here, partnering with various hospitals. This time, we’re working with Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center,” she shared.

Brother Jayson Paulite, INC Minister in the Ecclesiastical District of Manila, highlighted the INC volunteers’ strong sense of purpose: “Our members voluntarily came here to donate blood because they understand how important it is to help those in need, whether they are members or nonmembers of the Church.”
