With heartfelt thankfulness to the Lord God, Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Local Congregation of Uson, Ecclesiastical District of Masbate gathered for worship for the first time in their new house of worship on October 9, 2026.
“We’re grateful to our Lord God that we now have a new house of worship. Before, we’re just hoping for this, but now, by the mercy and help of God, it has finally come,” expressed Bituin Nuevo, choir leader.
Brother Renato C. Estrada Sr., district supervising minister, officiated at the special worship service. He preached a biblical lesson underscoring the sacred purpose of the Church Of Christ as it continuously builds houses of worship despite the severe trials the world is facing today. This house of worship, he explained, is the place where God’s people worship, serve, and pray to Him.
The 100-seater house of worship is located along San Pedro St. in Brgy. Poblacion,
Uson, Masbate, Philippines. It was installed with a video conferencing system and new sound system. A separate structure was also built inside the compound to house the local congregation’s offices and the parsonage.
“With [a new] house of worship, we will dedicate ourselves even more to our duties and guide our brothers and sisters toward greater fervor in our service to the Lord God,” said Alfredo Nuevo Jr., head deacon.
The Uson Congregation is more than 40 kilometers from the district office situated adjacent to the house of worship of the EGM Congregation in Masbate City.
On behalf of the congregation, Brother Jay Rennie San Gabriel, current resident ministerial worker, promised “we will treasure and care for this house of worship, keeping it clean and orderly so that our Lord God may be all the more glorified.”
