In celebration of the 53rd anniversary of KADIWA and Binhi, the Church’s organizations for its youth members, the Ecclesiastical District of Calamba City, Laguna, in the Philippines, held a special gathering and “This is KADIWA” activity on October 10 and 18, respectively.

Special gathering

Brother Eraño D. Augusto, district supervising minister, officiated the sacred gathering at the Calamba City Congregation’s house of worship. He echoed the Church Administration’s call for the responsible use of social media, especially among the youth.

“I further understood why we ought not to believe everything that are found in social media and the internet, even if they can be accessed easily,” shared Angelo Paz, Milagrosa Congregation’s KADIWA president.

Meanwhile, Rosebelle Balongcas, local Binhi president of the Sto. Tomas Congregation, learned that “social media is among the resources that, when used right, can help with our schooling and even in sharing our faith.”

Thirdy Estrabo, district Binhi president, promised on behalf of his fellow officers, “we’ll continue to promote all Christian Family Organization (CFO) activities to our fellow brethren so that all together, just like what was taught in the gathering, we shall reach Christian maturity.”

This is KADIWA

A week after, on October 18, hundreds of KADIWA members in the district met for “This is KADIWA” held at Rancho Vista Events Place.

Various interactive booths provided a platform for the attendees to bond with their fellow KADIWA members, show their talent in acting, drawing, and singing. They got to remember that day as well through prizes and souvenirs given during the activity.

“We had so much fun,” expressed Jewel Lei Ann Cruz, Los Baños Congregation’s KADIWA president. “I observed that the KADIWA members were all smiles throughout the activity, which inspired us to be closer with one another and more active in the Church in worshiping God,” she added.

“On behalf of all CFO officers, we thank the Church Administration for nurturing our faith in God’s words,” district KADIWA president, Rainah Earlene Dela Cruz, enthused. She also promised, on behalf of her fellow officers, saying, “Through the duties entrusted to us, we’ll help our dear Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, in caring for the brethren under our care.” — With assistance from Calamba City, Laguna Multimedia
