The Ecclesiastical District of Batangas, Philippines, continues to grow, an indicator of which is the establishment a new GWS. The inaugural worship service of the Laguile Group Worship Service (GWS) was held on September 30, 2026. It is under the supervision of the Local Congregation of Lemery.

Situated at the village of Brgy. Laguile, Taal, Batangas, the GWS serves brethren residing in the area who previously had to travel to the Lemery house of worship to attend worship services.

Brother Pedro F. Castillo, district supervising minister, officiated at the inaugural worship service. During the Bible-based lesson, he emphasized why the brethren should remain steadfast in their faith despite wickedness, trials, and hardships, so that they may attain salvation on Judgment Day.

“This is a great help to the brethren who live here because the Lemery house of worship is far from them. During storms, it also becomes more difficult for them because some of the roads they pass through often get flooded,” attested Brother John King Arias, resident ministerial worker.

“We feel truly blessed because the place of worship is now closer to us,” said choir member, Liezl De Mesa. “This will also help them become more active because we no longer have difficulty going to the place of worship.”

Gorgonia Mendoza, also a choir member, expressed, “It is a great blessing for us as I firmly believe that this development can help more people here in Laguile become interested in joining the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ).”

On behalf of fellow Church officers, Brother Arias added, “We will strive to care for the brethren here and help ensure that they remain active in attending worship services and in fulfilling their Church duties.”
