“The EVM Art Mobile Exhibit provides a venue where brethren can showcase their artistic talents and express their faith through art.”

Thus said Brother Dante N. Parco, district supervising minister, as the exhibit made its stop in the Ecclesiastical District of Urdaneta City, Pangasinan, Philippines, from September 6 to 18, 2026.

Mounted at the district office’s conference room, the exhibit was part of the 10th anniversary celebration of EVM Art, short for “Expressing the Vision and Mission of the Iglesia Ni Cristo through Art.”

The mobile exhibit has been touring various ecclesiastical districts in the Philippines, featuring selected artworks submitted by brethren, which were finalists, in previous EVM Art competitions.

The gallery featured paintings, drawings, and sculptures that showcased the creativity and talents of the brethren. Through their works, the artists expressed their faith and portrayed aspects of their lives as members of the Church.

“What we see here were not only the talents of the brethren, but also, through their creative works, how they live their daily lives while upholding their faith,” Brother Parco added.

“The paintings well presented the expression of each brethren—their expression of faith—in a very artistic way,” observed Mharben Rayray, a choir member from Urdaneta City Congregation. “Through these works, our faith can be seen through the form of art. It is a wonderful opportunity to see their talents and, at the same time, how their faith is reflected in their artworks.”

“Activities such as this aim to further develop the brethren’s knowledge and encourage them to broaden their understanding of activities related to art and other creative endeavors. At the same time, we hope to encourage more brethren to become aware of these activities in the Iglesia Ni Cristo and be inspired to participate in them,” said Brother Aster Soriano, assistant district supervising minister.—with assistance from Gamaliel R.
