Upholding the Christian virtue of helping their fellowmen, Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from four local congregations in separate ecclesiastical districts in Metro Manila, Philippines, participated in blood donation drives this August 2026.

These were Pugad Lawin in Central District on August 1, H. Lopez in Manila on August 8, and Cupang Muntinlupa and Sucat in Metro Manila South on August 15.

The first two congregations held their blood donation drives inside their respective houses of worship’s compounds, while the latter two jointly held similar activity at the Barangay Sucat Covered Court, in Muntinlupa City.

In each venue, the volunteer donors first underwent health screening. The Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS) members from the four congregations helped this regard.

The bags of collected blood at Pugad Lawin were donated to the National Kidney and Transplant Institute, those at H. Lopez to the Jose R. Reyes Memorial Medical Center, and those at Cupang Muntinlupa and Sucat to the Philippine Orthopedic Center.

“It’s truly fulfilling to know that I was able to help our fellowmen by donating blood,” Michael Baisa, Pugad Lawin’s assistant choir director, enthused.

Arvi Paderna Señar, a choir member from H. Lopez, concurred with such noble intent, adding that his it will “all the more, give glory and honor to the Lord God.”

Meanwhile, first-time donor, Ana Marie Yuson, a deaconess from Pugad Lawin, shared, “I did the necessary preparations, and I am so happy realizing that, in a small way, my donation can make a difference in the life of someone who needs it.”Head deacon, Gil Rosales, of the Sucat Congregation, MMS, said, “I took part in this activity to show my unity with the Church Administration in upholding God’s will to help people whenever possible.”
