A multitude of families from the ecclesiastical districts of Quezon City; Trece Martires, Cavite; and Capas, Tarlac took part in a get-together and physical fitness activities, all the more strengthening both their familial and brotherly bonds.

On August 1, 2026, around 1,000 brethren from Quezon City gathered for a Fun Walk at the La Mesa Ecopark. On the same date, around 3,500 brethren from Trece Martires, Cavite participated in a similar event held at the oval of the Cavite State University main campus in Indang town.

Before their walk, the brethren received safety reminders and did warm-up exercises.

 “It brought us great joy to see and spend time with our fellow brethren from different local congregations through this activity,” shared Renato Sanciangco, a deacon from the Trece Martires City Congregation. “It also brought happiness and enthusiasm to our family while giving us the opportunity to exercise, which is important for maintaining good health.”

Meanwhile, Maria Emilia Aldave, from the Pilot Congregation in Quezon City, expressed, “I never think of my old age as a hindrance to taking part in activities launched by the Church Administration.”

A week later, on August 8, around 2,000 brethren from Capas, Tarlac gathered at the New Clark City for a CFO Physical Fitness Activity. Held as part of the district’s celebration of its 10th anniversary, it consisted of a fun walk, fun run, and fun cycling.

“This activity served as a family bonding experience for us as we participated in the Fun Run together. It also provided significant benefits, especially for our health,” enthused Ernesto Canlas of the Calumpit Extension.

“It was heartwarming to see brethren arriving as early as possible, from the PNK to the Buklod, to participate in this activity,” remarked Brother Michael Pelaez, Capas, Tarlac District Christian Family Organizations overseer. “Aside from promoting good physical health, it also served as an avenue to strengthen camaraderie and unity among the brethren.” — With reports from Richard Samson, Joydie Bañares, and Argel Mañebog
